Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 19, 2026. Jumping Arcade does not set any cookies today. We do use your browser's local storage to remember your scores and settings on your own device. This page explains the difference, lists exactly what is stored and describes what would change if advertising or analytics were added in the future.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website, or a third-party service embedded in it, asks your browser to store. They are sent back to the server with later requests, which is why they are commonly used for logins, analytics and advertising. Cookies set by the site you are visiting are called first-party cookies; cookies set by other services embedded in the page are called third-party cookies.
Cookies we use today
None. The site does not set first-party cookies, and it does not load analytics, advertising or social media scripts that set third-party cookies. There are no user accounts, so no login cookies are needed. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs as described in our Privacy Policy, but this does not involve cookies set by us.
Local storage we use
Local storage is a browser feature that lets a website save small pieces of data on your device. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to the server with each request. Jumping Arcade uses it only to remember your progress and preferences, and the data never leaves your browser.
| Key | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
ja_bestScore | Stores your personal best score for each game. | Until you clear it |
ja_recentGames | Remembers games you played recently for quick access. | Until you clear it |
ja_favoriteGames | Remembers games you marked as favorites. | Until you clear it |
ja_soundPreference | Remembers whether game sound is on or off. | Until you clear it |
ja_themePreference | Remembers your light or dark theme choice. | Until you clear it |
ja_dailyScores | Stores your best Daily Jump Challenge score for each date. | Until you clear it |
These items are needed for features you use, such as seeing your best score or keeping dark mode on. They are not used for tracking or advertising. You can remove them all at once with the "Clear my saved data" button in the Privacy Policy, or through your browser settings as described below.
Possible future cookies from ads and analytics
We may add Google AdSense advertising and an analytics tool in the future. If that happens, those services may set cookies or use similar technologies on your device. Before they are activated:
- This Cookie Policy and our Privacy Policy will be updated to list the services, what they do and how to opt out.
- Where required by law, such as for visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, a consent banner will ask for your choice before non-essential cookies are set. For personalized AdSense ads in those regions, we will use a Google-certified consent management platform.
- You will be able to change or withdraw your consent later.
If Google advertising is added, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this site or other sites. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services at Google's advertising technologies page, and manage personalized ads at Google Ads Settings.
How to control cookies and site data
Every major browser lets you view, block and delete cookies and other site data, including local storage. The exact menu names vary, but the settings are usually found under Privacy, Security or Site settings. Common options include:
- Delete data for one site: open the site settings or site information panel (often from the icon next to the address bar) and clear stored data for jumpingarcade.xyz.
- Clear all browsing data: use the clear browsing data option and include cookies and site data.
- Block third-party cookies: most browsers offer a setting to block cookies from sites other than the one you are visiting.
- Block all cookies: possible, but it may break login features on other websites.
- Private browsing: private or incognito windows discard cookies and local storage when closed.
On mobile devices, these options are typically in the browser app's settings, and on some devices in the system settings for that browser. Your browser's help pages describe the steps for your version.
Keep in mind that clearing site data for Jumping Arcade removes your saved best scores, favorites and preferences. They cannot be recovered afterward.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever our use of cookies or browser storage changes. The "Last updated" date at the top shows the latest version.
