Last updated: September 19, 2026. Jumping Arcade is built on original work. This policy explains what that means in practice, how we respect the rights of other creators and what to do if you believe something on the site infringes your copyright.

Our games and content are original

Every game on Jumping Arcade was developed for this site. In particular:

  • Games: the game code is written for Jumping Arcade in plain JavaScript using the HTML5 Canvas API.
  • Art: characters, platforms, backgrounds, effects and game thumbnails are drawn in code from simple shapes. We do not use image files taken from other sources.
  • Sounds: sound effects are generated in code with the Web Audio API. There are no audio files, music tracks or sound libraries from third parties.
  • Text: guides and pages are written for this site and reviewed by the editorial team, as described in our Editorial Policy.

The original games and content are owned by the operator of Jumping Arcade. Our Terms of Use explain what you may and may not do with them.

What we don't use

  • Characters, mascots or recognizable designs from other games or media.
  • Logos or brand artwork belonging to other companies.
  • Screenshots, video footage or promotional images from other games.
  • Copied or lightly reworded text from other websites.

When our guides discuss genre conventions, they do so in general terms rather than naming or depicting specific commercial games. Game mechanics such as jumping, double jumping or scrolling platforms are common ideas in game design; our implementations of them are our own.

If we ever use external assets

We do not currently use any third-party assets in our games. If we ever do, for example a font, sound or code library released under an open license, we will only use it in accordance with its license, and we will document its source, author where known and license on the site. We will not use any asset whose license we cannot confirm.

Links to external documentation, such as MDN Web Docs or web specifications, are references for readers. We link to those pages rather than copying their content, and short quotations, if used, are clearly attributed.

  3. The material on our site: the exact page address on Jumping Arcade and a description of the specific material, such as a game, image or passage of text, that you believe infringes your rights.
  4. Your explanation: why you believe the material infringes your rights, for example by showing where it matches your work.
  5. A good-faith statement: a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the rights holder, its agent or the law.
  6. An accuracy statement: a statement that the information in your message is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act on their behalf.

Please do not send original documents, passwords or financial information. We may ask for more detail if we need it to understand the concern.
