Last updated: September 19, 2026. This policy describes how the Jumping Arcade Editorial Team creates, reviews and maintains the games, guides and pages on this site. It exists so that you know what to expect from our content and can hold us to it.

Purpose of our content

Our guides aim to help players understand and enjoy jumping arcade games: how controls respond, how jump physics works, how to read obstacles and how to improve timing. Every piece of content should answer a real question a player might have, with specific, practical information. We do not publish pages written only to attract search traffic.

Originality

  • All games are developed for this site. Graphics, characters, thumbnails and sounds are generated in code.
  • Guides are written for Jumping Arcade. We do not copy, rewrite or lightly paraphrase other publishers' articles.
  • We describe genre conventions in general terms and do not use other companies' characters, logos, screenshots or game names to attract attention.
  • Each guide should add something distinct. We avoid repeating the same boilerplate across pages.

Accuracy

Descriptions of our games include only features the games actually have. Statements about web technologies are checked against primary sources such as MDN Web Docs and W3C and WHATWG specifications. We do not publish invented statistics, studies, quotes or survey results, and we do not make health, cognitive or educational benefit claims about playing games. Our Fact-Checking Policy explains how claims are verified.

Human review

Every guide and page is reviewed by a member of the editorial team before publication. Review covers factual accuracy, whether the content matches how our games actually behave, clarity for a beginner, correct internal links and consistency with this policy. Content that does not meet the standard is revised or not published.

Responsible use of AI-assisted drafting

We may use AI tools to help with drafting, outlining or editing. When we do, the following rules apply:

  • AI output is never published automatically. Every draft is reviewed and edited by a person before it goes live.
  • Factual statements in AI-assisted drafts are verified in the same way as any other content. A tool's output is not treated as a source.
  • Gameplay descriptions are checked against the actual games, since a drafting tool cannot know how our games behave.
  • Any invented detail, such as a fictional statistic, source or feature, is removed.
  • Responsibility for published content rests with the editorial team, regardless of the tools used to draft it.

Game testing

Before a game is published, and after significant updates, we test it with keyboard controls on desktop and touch controls on mobile. We check that pause, restart and game over work correctly, that best scores are saved in the browser, that no errors appear in the browser console and that the game works across a range of screen sizes. The testing checklist on our About page lists each step.

Separation from advertising

The site does not currently run ads. If advertising is added, it will be clearly labeled and kept separate from editorial content. Ads will never influence which games we publish or feature, the order in which games appear or what our guides say. We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not publish sponsored content presented as editorial. Our advertising disclosure has more detail.

No fabricated authority

Content is published under the name of the Jumping Arcade Editorial Team. We do not invent authors, job titles, credentials, years of experience, awards, partnerships or endorsements. We do not show fake ratings, reviews, testimonials, rankings or player counts. Individual author profiles will be added only for real contributors.

Corrections

When we find an error, or a reader reports one that we confirm, we correct the page promptly. Substantive corrections, such as a wrong description of how a mechanic works, are reflected in the page's updated date. Minor fixes to spelling or formatting may be made without a note. To report an error, use our contact page and include the page address and the specific statement concerned.

Content updates

Guides and game pages are reviewed when a game changes, when browser behavior or web standards change in a way that affects what we have written, or when readers point out something unclear. Each page shows the date it was last updated. We would rather remove a page than leave outdated information in place.

We respect the rights of other creators. We do not use third-party artwork, audio, characters, logos or screenshots. If we ever use an external asset, its source and license will be documented. When we quote or link to documentation, we attribute it clearly. See our Copyright Policy for how to raise a concern.

Feedback

If you believe any content falls short of this policy, email [contact email to be published]. We read every message and use feedback to improve the site.
